Warrior stood on the second turnbuckle saluting his fans on his return to Wrestlemania. Announcers Vince McMahon And Jerry "The King" Lawler talked about how humbling an experience this must be for HHH.
Warrior had just stepped back down on to the canvas when HHH attacked him from behind with some vicious right hands while the Warriors music was still playing. He beat Warrior on to the ropes and Warrior began shaking his head as if feeding on the energy from the crowd. HHH irish whips Warrior against the ropes and attempts to clothesline him. Warrior ducks the clothesline attempt but HHH turns and kicks Warrior to the midsection setting him up for the pedigree. HHH slams Warrior face first into the canvas with the pedigree and Jerry "The King" Lawler exclaims that this match is over. "No it's not!!" shouts Vince McMahon as Warrior stands straight back up seemingly unaffected. "We spoke too soon" McMahon adds while HHH is just standing looking around himself with a puzzled look on his face. Warrior acknowledges the crowds cheers and starts to take off the jacket he wore to the ring. HHH again attacks Warrior from behind but Warrior is feeling the crowds energy now. The Warrior turns to face Helmsley and HHH throws another right hand . The Warrior blocks it and throws one of his own knocking Helmsley to the canvas. As Helmsley gets to his feet he is met with a Warrior clothesline. After two more clotheslines Warrior grabs a fistful of HHH's hair and rises the crowd by raising his right arm and shaking his fist. Warrior runs to one side of the ring comes off the ropes and runs to the other side. He launches himself from the ropes hitting Helmsley with a flying shoulderblock. Warrior gets to his feet and signals to the crowd that it's time for the gorilla press slam. He lifts HHH and holds him up there for afew seconds before dropping HHH behind him. Warrior runs off the ropes again and splashes HHH who is still lying face down. Warrior turns him over and kneels on his chest. The referee drops down and counts to three for a Warrior victory. |
