Scrapiron Says: 20th June Edition.

Hello Warriors. Can you believe we are counting down to the return of the Ultimate Warrior in days now rather than weeks? For any true fan of the Ultimate Warrior this is a huge moment, one we have been hoping for for years but unsure if it would come to be. Think of all the rumours of a return that have sprung up over the past decade. Some of course were ridiculous and could be dismissed straight away but others did give the feeling that there might be some small element of truth to them. They are all in the past now however and the fact is that Warrior's return is imminent. No bullshit, no lies. It is happening. And I for one am more than a little excited.

When Warrior announced his return I thought it couldn't come around soon enough. Six weeks was going to be a long time to wait. Yeah, I know, we had already been waiting for ten years but stay with me here. Thankfully the time between the announcement and now has been filled with enough video clips and news from the world of Warrior to give us our fix and stop us from going crazy with anticipation. We've had the Ultimate Warrior's Ghost series of video clips which I admit, I didn't think was funny at first but by the time I had seen the second video I couldn't wait for the third. I think what I enjoyed most about them was seeing how much fun Warrior himeself was having with it. Who would have thought we would ever see that side of him? Don't even start me on the RVD TV spot. If you didn't thknk that was funny you have problems.

As much as I enjoyed the fun stuff I was glad to see the clips of Warrior in the gym, to see how intensely he was preparing for the return. Watrrior's workout routine is something I've wanted to see for a long time and to get a brief look at it was mind blowing. To think a man of 49 (yeah, I know, he's not just any man) can work out with such energy and intensity put alot of things in perspective for me as I'm sure it did for lots of people.

We've also seen two youtube competitions (one still in the running) with Warrior giving away one of his workout shirts in the first and a signed yellow Intercontinental Title belt up for grabs in the second. The first competition I liked. Some thought was required to be in with a chance to win. I think everybody agreed that the eventual winner thoroughly deserved to be chosen. The second competiton, I'm not so crazy about. While the prize is probably sought after by more people no thought at all is required to win. I'm hoping the prize goes to a genuine Warrior fan and not somebody who has little or no interest in Warrior and who maybe just sees an oppertunity to make some easy cash on Ebay. But with the rules of the competition as they are it's anyones prize. As much as I would love a signed Warrior belt (I'd be crazy not to want one) I think I'll give this one a miss. I don't have the time to post message after message on youtube. What I would post would be lost among the 8,525 messages which have already been posted. And lets face it, if I did come out of the hat some people would cry FIX! Again, I hope the belt goes to a genuine Warrior fan who really wants it. I'll just save up for mine lol.

The coundown continues... 6 Days 3 Hours and 18 Seconds at the time of writing this... It's coming Warriors... Are you ready?
