Scrapiron Says: 15th May Edition. AAAAAHHHHH Warriors... Welcome to Scrapiron Says #2! The clock keeps on ticking, winding down to the return of the most phenomenal character ever to step in a wrestling ring. For every true Warrior fan this is the best time in years to be a Warrior fan. Inevitably though, the cheap shots keep on coming from those who hate Warrior and post smart assed comments on websites, forums and blogs because other guys on the internet think it's fun to do so. My favourite comments are the baseless ones posted with no hint of a fact to back them up. "Warrior sucks because he does" and "Warrior's return will suck because Warrior sucks" are two of my personal favourite. These would be excusable if they were posted by three year old toddlers but sadly that's not the case. I like those comments so much that I'm not going to make mention of them again. Give the kids their rattles. Let them make their noise. Eventually everybody will stop listening. To address one of the more cutting remarks I've seen in various guises: "Warrior is making a comeback because he needs the money" and "Warrior is a hypocrite because he said he didn't need wrestling and now he's coming back." Wrong on both counts. Wrong with a big fat LOL. If Warrior needed the kind of money a wrestling comeback will generate he would have done it years ago. He wouild have snapped up one of the offers from TNA, TNT, WWA or even NWE's original offer which was made when the company was in it's infancy. The true reason why Warrior is making his comeback now is known only to Warrior and those close to him. He has promised a video blog explaing some of these reasons soon. While we are waiting however, I'll nail my colors to the cross here and declare two reason why I think he decided to come back.
1) He wants to.
He wants to because he and NWE were able to hammer out a deal that both parties are happy with and that neither party had to compromise what they are about. He can because throughout his years out of wrestling, while others were self destructing, he has kept his body in peak physical condition. No, not Ultimate Warrior condition but close enough to it that if and when the time was right that sort of condition was not out of reach. You've seen the pictures posted both here on Warrior Central and on Ultimate Warrior TV. Does the man not look like he's built like a train? Let the doubters keep on doubting, let the haters keep on hating. On June 25th in Barcalona, Spain Warrior will do the talking for himself as only he can.
